Founder of Starchild, singer and songwriter with a background in fashion buying and retail management.
Michaela recently received the ‘Point of Light Award’ from Theresa May, UK Prime Minister, and nominated for ‘Evening Times Scotswoman of the Year 2016’ recognising her work with Starchild.
Michaela studied dress design at college, and has spent her life in the arts in varying capacities; writing, singing, performing.

Volunteers are at the heart and soul of Starchild. The volunteer Board brings a diverse skill set; planning, financial, teaching, fundraising, medical, project management, training, design, catering, retail and organisational skills, extensive experience and a passion that realises achievements and the advancement of this small charity.

Dr Moses T Apiliga, was a previous trustee on the board who retired back to Uganda where he was born. Although he had to resign from the board due to the distance, he works closely with the Ugandan authorities at the local and national level to promote and help the charity in Uganda.
