Starchild has provided, School Uniforms, art supplies and school backpacks to the Mango Tree School and Learning Centre on the banks of the River Nile, Jinja.

As well as jotters, pencils, pens, rulers, erasers, pencil sharpeners, lollipops, balloons, we have provided soap. Most children cannot afford soap and with jigger’s disease (caused by walking barefoot in mud) it is important to keep their feet as clean as possible.

​

 

For many of the children, this was their very first school uniform and schoolbag. Their pride was palpable.
